This shrub has attractive glossy deep dark green foliage with a single spine at the tip. In Fall, the Burford Holly has eye-catching red berries from fall through winter that will attract birds. In spring, the Dwarf Burford Holly will have clusters of tiny white fragrant flowers. The compact and dense habit of the Dwarf Burford Holly is perfect to create hedges, mid-sized screens, under windows, and evergreen structural elements in the landscape.The Burford Holly will grow best in USDA Zones 6-9 in a location that will receive full sun to part shade, and with soil that is well-drained. Water new plantings 2-3 times per week until established, and then as needed. Also, use a slow-release fertilizer formulated for hollies in spring to keep your new plant healthy and happy.
